Opening Night – Launch of the New Festival Baroque Zürich Concert Series at the Zurich Opera House

To celebrate the opening of the new “Festival Zürich Barock” concert series, we designed a baroque still-life–inspired buffet in the Mirror Hall of the Zurich Opera House.

The table was conceived as a scene to be explored — opulent, abundant, and intentionally imperfect in its arrangement. It was a carefully composed interplay between props and edible elements, blurring the line between display and dining.

Drawing from 18th-century food design, the composition embraced a sense of natural richness and theatricality.

We worked with linen and red sand as foundational elements, presenting the dishes in a way that felt as true to the period as possible, both visually and atmospherically.
